Cancer – Like many of you, Mike’s family has been directly affected by cancer. Mike’s mom, a non-drinker and non-smoker, was diagnosed with throat cancer. She is fortunate to live within driving distance to the world-class MD Anderson facilities in Houston, Texas, where she received excellent care. After several rounds of radiation and treatment, she can happily report that she is cancer free.
Visit the Susan G. Komen Foundation and American Cancer Society websites to learn more about this disease and how you can help those affected.
Alzheimer’s is the most common form of dementia that can cause much frustration and heartache for you and your loved ones. Mike and Alan both have close family members who have fallen ill with this disease and continue to struggle with its effects on a daily basis.

Wounded Warrior Project – Living in the land of the free is something that many of us take for granted. We would not have our freedom if it weren’t for the blood and sacrifice of the men, women, and their families in the military. Growing up in a military family and spending several years on various air force bases has greatly influenced Mike’s awareness of the sacrifices these people make. We encourage you to uphold our military in prayer, asking God to keep them out of harm’s way as they spend their lives protecting ours.
One way that you can support our troops is through the Wounded Warrior Project.
